We’re here now.

Saturday: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. High near 84. Windy, with a east wind 65 to 70 mph becoming south 50 to 55 mph. Winds could gust as high as 100 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%.

That’s the forecast.  We put anything that might blow down or out.  We have a supply of candles, flash lights, and we’re set up to use DC power from the car / power pack.

We’ll see, huh?

This storm is going to be bad.  I don’t ever remember people boarding up like Lufkin has been boarded up.  People were disappearing from the streets by 5 PM.  Walmat was busy but not unusually so.  Sam’s was not bad, either.  All the cheaper bread, flashlights, stuff like that were gone but there were some batteries and stuff available.  Shelves didn’t look empty like they did with the last storm call a couple weeks ago.

Now it’s quiet before the storm.
